Initial & Ongoing Assessment

My World ABA provides initial autism assessment and skill inventory assessment to determine your child’s current level of development. This helps establish goals for growth and person-centered treatment plans.

Our certified therapists perform ongoing assessment and data collection to monitor progress and refine the person-centered treatment plan as your child masters new skills. All of our BACB board certified therapists are highly credentialed to serve you family’s needs.

Assessment tools include the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills Revised (ABLLS-R), the Verbal Behavior Milestones and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (Third Edition), and other evidence-based assessments.

1-on-1 Autism Services

One-on-one autism treatment provides children with attentive, caring autism treatment services in both Springfield and Joplin, Missouri, with a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician.

With extra attention and focused treatment planning, children can engage fully and master skills more quickly while learning at their own pace. One-on-one services allow for a structured environment, with lots of opportunities for skill development and social learning under the attentive supervision of our staff.

Social Skills Training

Social skills training allows our staff to break down complex social skills into manageable components, and then teach those components systematically according to the developmental level of the individual.

One-on-one skills training allows for individualized learning, while skills training in small groups allows the development of friendships and pivotal social skills necessary for successful inclusion in classrooms and communities.

Skills groups are broken into three categories: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. We recommend that children develop certain prerequisite skills before joining social skills classes.

IEP Support for Autism

The school environment can be overwhelming for children, and the IEP planning process can be overwhelming for families. My World ABA is here to coach you through the process and provide crucial advocacy to ensure the best possible plan for your child.

We provide close collaboration with teachers, therapists, caseworkers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, parents, and other client-centered providers.

My World ABA offers family support services, including: Individual Parent/Guardian Training, Group Parent/Guardian Training, Workshops, Community Resource Information, and Client Advocacy as part of our autism services in Springfield and Joplin, Missouri, and the surrounding areas.

Parent Training

As your child is developing new skills and growing into a confident and successful adult, there are also lots of skills that parents learn along the way!

My World ABA provides parent training and consulting as part of your child’s overall treatment planning and goal setting. These visits are an opportunity to monitor your child’s progress, provide parents with behavioral management strategies, and advance the program as your child progresses.

We work closely with your child, family, and related professionals to create the best possible program to meet developmental needs.
