Initial & Ongoing Assessment
My World ABA provides initial autism treatment assessment and skill inventory assessment to determine your child’s current level of development. This helps establish goals for growth and person-centered treatment plans. My World ABA is a treatment facility; we do not provide diagnostic assessments. The initial and ongoing assessments occur during treatment intake and treatment evaluations throughout the course of treatment.
Our certified therapists perform ongoing assessment and data collection to monitor progress and refine the person-centered treatment plan as your child masters new skills. All of our BACB board certified therapists are highly credentialed to serve you family’s needs.
Assessment tools include the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills Revised (ABLLS-R), the Verbal Behavior Milestones and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (Third Edition), and other evidence-based assessments.
Social Skills Training
Social skills training allows our staff to break down complex social skills into manageable components, and then teach those components systematically according to the developmental level of the individual.
One-on-one skills training allows for individualized learning, while skills training in small groups allows the development of friendships and pivotal social skills necessary for successful inclusion in classrooms and communities.
Skills groups are broken into three categories: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. We recommend that children develop certain prerequisite skills before joining social skills classes.
